An experience that will teach you the history and production methods of an ingredient of extreme importance for Portuguese food, for the Portuguese expansionist history and indeed to the world.
Salt is essential for cod fish preservation, one of the most consumed and typical fish in Portugal. It’s traditional and fundamental role in food preservation has a huge importance in typical Portuguese food.
What we propose is to come with us to the producer during the months of June to August, to participate in the traditional gathering of sea salt.
This experience can be combined with others in the same area and include a lunch in a regional restaurant or a river boat ride.
